New Game
Chapter 1: Bloodsoaked Tokyo
After the first Daemon section and reaching outside, you'll be in an open area with a few paths. Turn right and you'll find a way with wall runs. At the end of this secondary path, there will be three enemies to kill. These are difficult soldiers if you're just starting the game: focus on your Bloodraven Form attacks. If you have too many issues, leave them for NG+.
After crossing the first gap using the Caddis Wire for the first time, climb the short stairs here and then look to the left. Head behind the trucks parked here to find a hidden path. Follow this to the end and Flying Bird Flip your way up to the rooftop to find a Purgatory Gate.
Play through until you use the caddis wire to grapple across the second gap. As you land check the dead end on the left for a Gourdy.
In Chapter 1, there's a moment where you meet your first security drone with a soldier below it, still unalerted. Instead of dealing with them and continuing toward your destination, head the opposite direction on the walkway to find a hidden path that leads to a treasure chest with the ring.
Towards the end of the chapter you will come across a dropship pad with several Soldiers and a Drone around its base. After clearing the area, check the corner opposite the entry point for three Treasure Chests containing Divine Life Elixir, Divine Life Elixir and Life Elixir. On the ground beside these is a glowing object we can pick up for Data Chip. Picking this up will complete Mission: Find the data chip in Sky City Tokyo.
Complete the Mission: Find the data chip in Sky City Tokyo. -See Above-
Chapter 2: Haunted District
After the first encounter with Kite Soldiers, make your way up to the rooftop above. You should see the obvious path forward leading upwards -with drones hovering above it-. Look to the left of this path to spot some blue shipping containers. Head through the narrow path here to find a pipe we can slide on. At the end of this pipe, you will find a Purgatory Gate.
After the first encounter with Kite Soldiers, make your way up to the rooftop above. Before jumping to the next section of rails to continue, look to the left for a Treasure Chest in a dead end with Black Scale.
At the first DarkNest Terminal, turn left, perform the wall jump to reach the higher floor, and instead of going forward, turn back. Open the door and follow the only path available. It will lead to a battle with many soldiers, including some flying officers.
At the end of the third rail sequence, we will drop down into a room below with a DarkNest Terminal and a Raven -Tyran-. There is also a Treasure Chest here with Kongou Iron Brew. Climb up the ledges beside the Raven to find a Gourdy at the top.
Chapter 3: Phantom Pleasure Quarter
When you reach the very first Flying Bird Flip vertical shaft, climb it. At the top, turn around and follow the path in the opposite direction from the objective. There is a Treasure Chest at the end with Divine Life Elixir, and off to the right, a Purgatory Gate.
Upon entering the shrine, you will see the Fox Courtesan ahead. As you run towards her, the door will close in front of us, forcing you to go left. In this area you will see some stairs ahead. At the top of these stairs, look behind the shipping containers on the right to find a Treasure Chest containing Rotting Charm. This will complete Mission: Find the rotting charm in Sky City Tokyo.
Complete Mission: Find the rotting charm in Sky City Tokyo. -See Above-
In the same room as the rotting charm mission, instead of going upstairs, continue forward. You'll find a door on your left — open it and you'll meet Oniwaka.
After climbing a ladder to the upper walkways continue along the path until we need to wall run across a gap. Instead of doing so, jump down to the hallway below. Defeat the Oni and Lantern Demons in the room ahead. From this room there are two open doors. Check the door opposite the hallway we came from to find a Gourdy in a corner and a Treasure Chest with a Divine Life Elixir.
In this room where you first encounter Burabura Lantern Daemons -the floating lanterns that will shoot fiery projectiles at you, and when near death will lunge at you and explode-. After clearing the room look for a narrow set of stairs leading up to a Treasure Chest. This contains Phantasmal Herb.
After a DarkNest Terminal checkpoint, you will have a wall run section on your right. Don't do it — fall and go forward. You'll find two white enemies and a group of lanterns. Defeat them, turn right, and you will find the objective group.
Chapter 4: Pilgrim's Windswept Path
After the first DarkNest Terminal we will reach another area occupied by Soldiers that are unaware of our presence to start with, and we can take a couple of them out with assassinations. In this area, climb the stairs to the very top to find a wall we can climb. This leads up to an area with a large statue and a Treasure Chest in front of it. As you approach this, a group of Soldiers will show up. Defeat them before looting the chest for Black Scale.
After getting the glider, instead of following the main path of the bridge, go to the right, past it. Break some boxes and follow the optional path with your hook. There will be some enemies on a trunk, then three birds as the officers.
After the first Dragonfly Glider flight, you will need to slide beneath a low gap. As soon as you slide beneath the gap, look for a sneaky path leading down and to the right. At the end of this, you will see a ledge below with a Gourdy. This is a blue Gourdy, and these will run away if they see you, so we need to sneak up on it and grab it from behind. To do so, we need to Caddis Wire to the pole behind it and then drop down from here and pick it up from behind.
Following the first flight with the Dragonfly Glider, you will eventually come across what looks like the wreckage of a train. There are several Treasure Chests beside this housing Life Elixir, Life Elixir -again!- and Secret Supplies. Picking up this latter item will complete Mission: Find the secret supplies in Fuuhaku Sanctum.
Complete Mission: Find the secret supplies in Fuuhaku Sanctum. -See Above-
After the first Dragonfly Glider flight, continue onwards until you reach the next Flying Bird Flip shaft. Before using this, follow the upper path leading away from the shaft. At the end of this path, you can find a Purgatory Gate.
Chapter 5: Raging Valley
Proceed through the area until you reach the first main cave network. Proceed through here until you see a ledge on the left side of the room -from the entry point- to find a Treasure Chest with Divine Life Elixir. There is also a path up here leading further into the cave system. Follow this upper path across the first gap -Caddis Wiring to do so- and defeat the Lantern Demons and Armored Sickles. There is a side tunnel here with a Treasure Chest holding Life Elixir. Look for a yellow vine covered wall we can climb. At the top, look for a side tunnel immediately to the left and slide beneath the low ceiling. In the small cave behind this, there is a Gourdy.
It's Oniwaka again, but with some new moves. You can find him earlier in the level: on the main path, you'll find a wooden door that you need to interact with.
After navigating through the large cave and using the first air gusts to glide to the next area, continue onwards until you reach a broken bridge. Instead of jumping across, drop down into the area below. There is a pair of Treasure Chests down here with Divine Life Elixir and Senjin War Brew. Slice through the ropes at the end of the ravine to find a Purgatory Gate.
In the section with temples and roofs, climb the first building. When going to the second one, turn right instead. Follow the path and perform a wall jump to climb the walls. You will find the enemies near the tree.
In Chapter 5, following the main path, you'll find an area with temples called Sanctum. On the front side of one of these buildings, you'll notice a cord and a box. Strike the chord hanging at the entrance to summon a treasure chest containing an Incense of Rebirth. Keep striking the chord and you'll summon a few waves of enemies along with another treasure chest containing the accessory. Alternatively, you can buy this Accessory at any checkpoint in New Game Plus.
Proceed through the level until you reach the area with four shrine buildings clustered together. In front of the shrine with the bell, grapple up to the top of the torii gate. From here look for a wall run wall that will get us to the roof of the bell building. There is a blue Gourdy on the roof. Wait until it starts patrolling away from the wall before wall running over, jumping to the rooftop and grabbing it from behind.
Also in Chapter 5, after the sanctum area, you will fight many enemies. At one point, you'll use a second windswept ravine to go through the crags and arrive close to a treasure chest containing Crimson Blood Pellets. Continue parkouring through the ravine until you land on another ledge with a Life Elixir chest. When you reach the bridge with a torii gate at the end, turn right before the bridge and use your Caddis Wire to grapple up to the post above. Swing across to land on a ledge where you'll find a treasure chest with the ring.
As you progress through the chapter, eventually you will take a wind gust and land on a ledge where a Kettle Tsukomo attacks from across a gap. After reaching the other side of the canyon, ignore the path leading onwards to the right and instead make your way left and over to deal with the Kettle Tsukomo. Upon defeating this, you can loot the Heirloom Knife it was guarding. This will complete Mission: Retrieve the heirloom knife in Fuuhaku Sanctum.
Complete Mission: Retrieve the heirloom knife in Fuuhaku Sanctum. -See Above-
After defeating the Sanzeon boss, take the exit door and immediately turn left. Loot the glowing blue item here for Tengu Offering. This will complete Mission: Find the tengu offering in Fuuhaku Sanctum. Continue up the stairs and destroy the statue at the top.
Complete Mission: Find the tengu offering in Fuuhaku Sanctum. -See Above-
Chapter 6: Guiding Winds
Upon starting this chapter we will be in free fall. Use the wind gusts and grapple points to navigate through the canyon here and eventually you will land on a wooden bridge. After landing, turn around and head for the opposite end of the bridge from the objective marker. You will find a DarkNest Terminal and Raven here. There are also two Treasure Chests on this platform, one with Life Elixir and another with a Black Scale.
From the DarkNest Terminal after the first Kettle Tsukomo in the area, use the wind gust to fly across to a series of wooden platforms. Defeat the collection of Armored Sickles and Tengu here. Rather than following the wooden platforms, look in the opposite direction from the landing spot to find a tree that we can grapple. Do so and land on the wooden ledge beyond it. Follow this to the end to find a Purgatory Gate.
Before the second-to-last checkpoint, you'll be on a platform that lets you go forward or turn left. Turn left and use your hook on a branch and then your glider to ride the wind and reach a new area. There will be four enemies.
Proceed through the level until you encounter the first Fish Tsukomo. Defeat the enemies here and you can loot the pair of Treasure Chests they had been guarding. They contain Life Elixir and Divine Life Elixir. Grapple up the next ledge, remove some wooden barriers and then grapple across to the upper wooden ledges and continue onwards. Continue up the next Flying Bird Flip and at the top, look back over the edge of the cliff to spot a ledge below with a Gourdy.
Chapter 7: Altar of the Mountain God
From the sole DarkNest Terminal in this level, you will see a set of stairs leading upwards. Ignore this for a moment and instead, head down the stairs to the right. Cross the gap at the bottom of the stairs to find a Purgatory Gate. We can also look on the ground behind this to find a Gourdy.

Chapter 8: Drowned District
Upon starting this level, look for a door on the right. There is a blue Gourdy that will patrol in and out of this door. Wait for it to turn its back on you before running up behind it and picking it up.
At one point, you'll be descending into a sewer area. There's a wall run section, and then you can follow the main path forward and right, or turn left and find a spot to use your hook. Continue on that latter path and you'll find the enemies.
After getting the Pond Strider, surf through the first watery tunnel until you pass a disco ball and reach a more open area. In this area, there will be two Spawning Demons. Once the room is clear, look behind where the Spawning Demon left of the entrance had been for a Treasure Chest with Antiquated Currency. This will complete Mission: Find the antiquated currency in the Drowned District.
Complete Mission: Find the antiquated currency in the Drowned District. -See above-
Soon after gaining the Pond Strider for the first time, you will surf into a room with two Spawning Demons. Once the area is clear, enter the next gate and dispatch the group of Eltus and Foltogre. In this location, you will see two paths, a flooded tunnel on the left and a path leading to the right. Head to the right first. Use Flying Bird Flip to reach a higher ledge and then Pond Strider your way along the upper flooded tunnel. In the room at the end, you will find a Purgatory Gate.
Chapter 9: Realm of Silent Dead
After starting this mission, proceed through the area until we reach the first, more open section of water. From the starting point of this room you want to surf along the left wall to find a tunnel leading to the left. Navigate through this to the end to find a room with a Treasure Chest holding Divine Life Elixir and a Purgatory Gate.
In the first large watery room, head for the half open orange door at the rear of the area and surf/slide beneath it. We will arrive in another open watery area. After sliding under the door to reach this area, take the path immediately to the left to find an area with two Treasure Chest housing Crimson Blood Balm and a Black Scale.
After making the jump out of the second large watery area, head for the ground ahead. From here, before continuing, look back in the direction we came from and off to the left to spot another bit of land that we can explore. Head over to this area, defeat the Draugr here and grapple up to the ledge above before using the air gust to cross the next gap. When you land, loot the Treasure Chest for Divine Life Elixir and look on the ground nearby for a Gourdy.
After accepting the Mission, exit the checkpoint and turn right. You will find a yellow ladder at the end of the path. Use it, go forward, and you'll find the food stealer. He has a new sword.
After entering the demon world for the second time, proceed until you reach the first Flying Bird Flip shaft. At the top of this, look to your right to spot a short path leading away. At the end of this path is a blue Gourdy. Wait until it starts moving away from you before running up behind it to grab it.
When entering the portal after the checkpoint, surf forward, go past three hook sections, and turn left. You'll find a platform with red lights. Keep going forward using the only available path. After some platforming with your hook, you will reach a small arena with the two fiends.
We need to find three different Beautiful mineral locations in the area and collect them. They can be found in the following locations: After returning to the Underworld. Whilst surfing, you will need to wall run and grapple to cross the gap. Once across, you will you will see another gap ahead that you can jump. Ignore this for now and instead look for a section of land along the left hand wall -there is a door here with red lights-. Loot the Treasure Chest here for Life Elixir. Drop down to the ledge below the door and head to the right. There is a Treasure Chest here and Beautiful Mineral [1/3]. From the first mineral return to the main body of water and jump the gap. On the far side, you will see a Spawner Demon on the land to your right. We want to go and eliminate this -and the Draugr it spawns-. Once it is gone, you can climb the ledge behind it. At the end of a short stretch of water here there you will find a Beautiful Mineral [2/3] and a pair of Treasure Chests with Rejuvenation Elixir and Life Elixir. From the second mineral head back to the flooded area and follow the water to the right and then surf down the slope. As soon as you land you will be attacked by a group of Ilcanis coming out of a Spawning Demon further up the slope. Behind where the Spawning Demon had been located, there are some pillars we can grapple up. At the top is a Treasure Chest with a Life Elixir. On the ground nearby you will also find a Beautiful Mineral [3/3]. Finding this will complete Mission: Find 3 beautiful minerals in the Drowned District.
Complete Mission: Find 3 beautiful minerals in the Drowned District. -See above-
In Chapter 9, there will be a point where you're falling after going through a canyon and you see many platforms below you. Stick to the left as you dive down at the end to land on the tallest bluff. The treasure chest there contains the accessory.
Chapter 10: Bounding Spirits
Look just to the right of the first DarkNest Terminal in the chapter for an open doorway -it's hard to see in the dark, but it's there-. Follow this path to the end to find a Purgatory Gate.
Chapter 11: Infiltration
After the first DarkNest Terminal continue onwards and Flying Bird Flip up the vertical shaft here. Defeat the Soldiers, Kite Soldiers and Officers at the top. Check the far end of the walkway from where we jumped up. Follow this walkway around the corner and up some stairs to find a Gourdy.
In this chapter, there will be a rails section with four rails. At one point, you'll have a part with a wall on your left to use for wall-running. Right after this, prepare to jump to the left rail — you'll have only a few seconds to do this, or you'll follow the main path and avoid this optional area where the enemies spawn.
After a rail drops you off on a platform with two levels, climb to the upper platform here and grapple to the next rail to continue. As you go, look for a ledge on the left that we can jump/grapple to with four Treasure Chests -one contains a Phantasmal Herb-.
After a rail drops you off on a platform with two levels, climb to the upper platform here and grapple to the next rail to continue. As you go, look for a ledge on the left that we can jump/grapple to with four Treasure Chests -one contains a Phantasmal Herb-. Return to the rail and you will soon see an oncoming train. Jump to the right rail and then immediately grapple back to the left once the train passes. This left rail will take you to a rooftop where you can find a Purgatory Gate.
Chapter 12: Dragon's Maw
After ripping open the first door, you will encounter a group of Soldiers, Officers and a Goliath. Clear these baddies out before climbing up to the next door ahead. Before heading through, look on the right for a Treasure Chest with a Phantasmal Herb. Sweet.
In Chapter 12, you'll reach a hallway that fills with lasers. Turn to the right and jump onto the shipping containers at the end of the walkway. On the other side, you'll find a treasure chest with this accessory.
After fighting the first Heavy Infantry soldier, you'll have to perform a wall jump to reach a new room. In here, turn back. You'll find more walls for some jumping. Continue on to the new room, ride on the rails, and you'll find the small area with the three soldiers.
After climbing the first Flying Bird Flip shaft, cross the large gap in the room here using the grapple points. Once across, follow the main path here, defeating some Officers, Soldiers and Elite Soldiers as you go. Before climbing the next set of stairs, look beside them for a Treasure Chest with Life Elixir. Look behind the crates behind the chest for a Gourdy.
As soon as we land after the second Dragonfly Glider flight, we will be attacked by Soldiers, Kite Soldiers, and Officers. However, there are also two vanguards on higher ledges overlooking the area. Once the room is clear, head through the nearby door. As you do you will see a rail ahead. Before using this, look to the left to spot a blue Gourdy. Wait for it to look away and run up to nab it. At the opposite end of this room there are two Treasure Chests with Divine Life Elixir and Life Elixir.
After the second Dragonfly Glider sequence, you will eventually come across a pair of Heavy Infantry ahead, one melee and one ranged. After defeating the pair, look on the left side of this area and you should see a gap in the fence/shipping containers. There is a grapple point here. Use this -and the next- to cross the gap. Once across, hop to the next platform and proceed through the door to find a Purgatory Gate.
After falling through a trap floor, you'll reach a platform with three enemies. After defeating them, instead of going through the main door, turn left and you'll see a path to jump and use a hook. Continue on this path and you'll find Oniwaka.
After the third Dragonfly Glider flight, continue onwards until the area will start shaking, and the lights will go red. Note the large door on the left wall in this room - we need to go through here but before you do so, look in the corner to its right to find a Treasure Chest with Classified Document. This will complete Mission: Find the classified document in the Dragon's Maw.
Complete Mission: Find the classified document in the Dragon's Maw. -See above-
Chapter 13: Clash of Convictions
After starting the chapter, from the starting location, turn around and head down the stairs. When you reach the intersection, turn to the left and then grapple up to the platform above. Follow the only path up here across some rails, grapple points and a wall run to reach a Purgatory Gate.
Chapter 15: Fanged Gate
In the section where you run on water, you'll find a wall that you need to slide. Turn right and follow the path. If you go through a narrow section where you need to jump an obstacle, you're going well. You'll arrive at a small island with a chest on the right side. For the Mission, go up using the path on the left.
After the first night club dance floor area, enter the door at the rear and drop down the circular opening ahead. As you land, turn around to find a Treasure Chest with Lives of the Thousand Gods.
Towards the end of the chapter, make your way down a large, metal spiraling ramp until you find a tunnel leading to the right. At the end of this tunnel there is a half open gate on the left with a Treasure Chest and a tunnel to the right. Follow the tunnel right and enter the door at the end to find a pair of Treasure Chests with Combat Skill: Mirage -Gleam Form- and Incense of Rebirth along with a Purgatory Gate.
Chapter 16: Downpour
When you reach the large doll head, we can go left or right. Heading left will lead onwards. Before we do that however, we want to explore to the right first. Follow the path here to the end to find a Purgatory Gate.
When you reach the large doll head area you can go left or right. Head to the left, grappling to the series of drones to cross the gap. Defeat the group of Lantern Demons that spawns as you arrive. In this area we can go left or right -again-. Right leads onwards, whilst the left path has some goodies including a new combat skill, so let's check that out first. Use your caddis wire to grapple across the gap and dispatch the Fish Tsukomo on the far side. There are two Treasure Chests here, one containing Lives of the Thousand Gods and the other Combat Skill: Fatal Flash -Gleam Form-.
After opening the nearby chest, do a flying bird flip up the shipping containers. Keep following the corridor until you drop down into an area with the monstrosities — a group of tengus and a large kettle fiend.
Chapter 17: Howling Ravine
After starting the level, you should see a Muramasa statue on the right. From this location you will see a set of stairs leading upwards. Ignore this for a moment and instead, head down the stairs to the right. Cross the gap at the bottom of the stairs to find a Purgatory Gate.
Chapter 18: Darkness Reborn
After starting the chapter, use the elevator and proceed through the next couple of hallways until you reach a larger room with some stairs on the right side. Clear the baddies and then look to the left of the base of the stairs here for a barrier we can break down. Behind it is a small room with a Purgatory Gate.
In Chapter 18, you'll reach a bridge where you'll fight many fiends at once. Before crossing the bridge, turn left — you'll see a chest with the accessory. But beware that two more fiends will surprise you.
Proceed through the chapter until you reach a room with a bridge and a triangular support over it. As you enter this room, a group of Flare Shadows and a Van Gelf will spawn and attack. Once it is clear, look to the left from the entry point to find a Treasure Chest with Accessory: Focus God's Orb. Continue across the bridge and defeat two more Van Gelf and another group of Flare Shadows that appear on the far side. You can then loot the Treasure Chest on the right for a Lives of the Thousand Gods.
Chapter 19: Ebon Wings
After starting this chapter, make your way forward and onto the elevator. Once it stops, proceed through the next couple of hallways ahead until you reach the larger room with stairs on the right side. With the enemies out of the picture, look to the left of the base of the stairs here for a barrier we can break down. Behind it is a small room with a Purgatory Gate. This is in the same location as the Purgatory Gate in Chapter 18: Darkness Reborn.
Upon reaching the room with the bridge across its centre with the triangular supports over it, climb the Flying Bird Flip shaft on the far side. At the top, enter the door and immediately look right. You should see a Treasure Chest atop a shipping container. Hop up and loot this for Accessory: Strife God's Orb. Look between a collection of three smaller stacks of crates in this room for a Gourdy.
In Chapter 19, you'll go through the same paths explored with Ryu in the previous chapter. When you pass the point of the Focus God's Orb, you'll enter a big room with blood everywhere and a "ST 4" on the wall in front of you. Turn right and you'll see the chest over a platform.
After defeating Ryu, continue ascending the building until you find the final DarkNest Terminal and Raven in the game. From here, hop the next gap at the top of the stairs and you will find a vertical shaft leading upwards. Before using this, look to the left for a Treasure Chest with a Black Scale. This should give you another bit of health bar extension.
